She loved the way the cold air flowed over and between her toes. Her sandals did little to protect them. That was the way she preferred it. A ratty but comfortable sweatshirt clung to her small frame, a poor shield against the night. She shivered and hugged herself and danced from foot to foot to keep her other parts warm as her toes grew colder.
